2010 Black Hanoverian colt
Bugatti Hilltop x Don Primero

Congratulations to FEI trainer Stacy Z. on the purchase of Bon Primero. His future is limitless!! We wish you the best.

Bon Primero aka Primo is a super prospect for the dressage ring. Combining some of the most proven sporthorse blood and top movement- Primo's raw potential is seen by all. With an outgoing personality and stunning exterior we are pleased to offer Primo to buyers.

Primo's dam , EM Diana, is a rare find in US dressage breeding. As a young mare at her performance testing in Germany, Diana scored 8 for her walk, 8 for her trot and a very impressive 9 for her canter. Imported to the states by Stacy Z. Diana continued her excellence in the dressage show ring earning top scores including two 78% with trainer Christine Rivlin. Diana proved her dressage ability by impressing the judges time and time again with her correct and powerful gaits.

In 2007 Diana produced a fantastic colt , Fargo SZ, by Fabuleux and he is currently winning at in hand classes for USDF. Fargo was named Champion at the Shelly Siegel UDSF show in June 2008. After producing Fargo in 2007 Diana also earned her Elite status with the American Hanoverian Society.

Diana comes from legendary proven performance bloodlines. Her sire, Don Primero, has exactly the same bloodlines as the stallion Don Schufro and is following his sire Donnerhall’s outstanding footsteps in the breeding world. Don Primero won the National Young Horse Championships for five year old dressage horses and was trained Grand Prix, winning over twenty 20 S dressage classes. His progeny’s success is also outstanding: Over 10 approved stallions and 16 state premium mares and numerous competition horses. Offprings include,Dynamico (2003 National Young Horse Champion 2003 of the five year old dressage horses) and Devils bride (2003 National Young Horse Champion of the three year old riding horses). Before that Don Larino won the National Young Horse Championships and another son Dimaggio won the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Arnheim. Cherie, another highly successful mare by Don Primero, who also won the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, went on to confidently win the 2003 Nürnberger Burgpokal Final. Don Primero offspring can be found in the top dressage barns worldwide.

The damline is very important in breeding sporthorses and Diana's damline is what top marelines are made from. Her dam, Goldlika, has produced many top dressage horses.Goldika's daughter,Pik Lady, was awarded a I i premium at the Ratje Niebuhr Show in 1994.Pik Lady is the dam of the hanoveiran stallion Lauries As.
Diana's Dam sire is , Golden Miller, who covered in Oldenburg for a short time only. He was mainly successful in showjumping sport under Albert Riesenbeck, with whom he won e.g. the Rastede Grand Prix and the Oldenburg Stallion Championship. From Golden Miller’s covering period at the Redefin state stud arose numerous top showjumpers, such as Ganowe, who was internationally successful under Andre Thieme. Goldika's dam, state premium mare Vera, produced together with different sires a series of successful advanced class horses both in showjumping and dressage.

Primo's sire Bugatti Hilltop is one of the most popular choices when breeding for dressage.Hilltop Farm purchased Bugatti just after his initial Stallion Licensing.  His type, pedigree, and movement offered great promise and he was an excellent complement to our existing stallion line-up.  As a three year-old, Bugatti earned a score of 140 points in the dressage portion and finished first in that phase of his 70-day performance test.  He earned well deserved scores of 9 on character, rideability, temperament, and all three gaits.  Hilltop Farm chose to leave Bugatti in Europe for continued training and competition.  Under Michael Klimke he competed at the Bundeschampionat in 2003 & 2004 and finished in the Top 12 each year.  Bugatti continued on to the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horse, and National and International competitions at Prix St. Georges and Intermediaire. Many Bugatti offspring were highlighted with scores ranging from 47-51 points in the Swedish evaluation system and he had six Foal Championship winners in his first foal crop alone.  His strong BLUP Index scores still have him ranked 18th for dressage production for all dressage stallions despite his limited time in Sweden.

In the fall of 2007, Hilltop Farm finally brought Bugatti “home” to the US.  He instantly settled into life on the farm and quickly formed an excellent working partnership with his new trainer Christopher Hickey.  Their first season of showing produced numerous wins at Prix St. Georges & Intermediaire, including the Championship at the USDF Region 1 Finals for Prix St. Georges with a score of 72.625% and a Reserve Championships in the Intermediaire Freestyle.  From torrential downpours during Devon 2008 to rolling spotlights, loud music, and a screaming audience of thousands at Equine Affaire, Bugatti consistently offered his best and demonstrated his reliability and rideability.

2009 was a development year with only light showing as Bugatti and Chris continued to work on the Grand Prix movements at home and balance the training schedule with his full breeding commitments.  Bugatti offspring took the spotlight this year instead of their sire and have created a lot of buzz with breeders, judges, and riders.

The genetic value behind Bugatti is outstanding due to both the sire and dam lines.  Bugatti’s sire Bergamon is a son of Baryshnikov (by Bolero), winner of his 100-Day test and many time winner in S-level Dressage tests.  Bergamon has sired 5 approved sons, including the popular Baroncelli.

The mares in Bugatti’s pedigree are of equal importance. SPS Raffinesse, Bugatti’s dam, also produced the licensed son Santana (Sandro Hit), the Scandanavian Open Champion as well as a FEI Young Horse finalist in 2006, as well as States Premium daughters. Bugatti’s maternal granddam SPS Desiree, is a full-sibling to Donnerschlag and has produced many successful sons and daughters, including St.Pr.St. Renomée, and the approved stallion Riverside (by Regazzoni) who won both his 30- and 70-Day Performance Tests in Germany

Paternal granddam Paola is a full sister to Pik Bube I & II whose influence has been felt especially in the Oldenburg and Hanoverian breeding regions.  Paola has produced outstanding offspring her entire career, including Primavera (by Donnerhall).  Primavera was the 1992 Champion of the Oldenburg Elite Mare Show, the Riding Championships at Rastede winner, and was third at the Federal Championships that same year and was nicknamed “the queen of movement.”  Paola also produced the stallion Donnerklang and her full sister Pirola produced multiple approved stallions.  With the strength of these mares behind him, Bugatti’s success is no surprising.

With all this added into one colt known as Bon Primero we are very confident in his future success!
