Machtelt- For saleImported Dutch Warmblood mare 16.1 Bay Born in 1994 Glennridge X Makelaar x Epigoon
Belle was imported from Holland to FL with great hopes of making it big on the hunter circuit. At a young age Belle showed the promise of a future upper level sporthorse with amazing scope and style that was sure to take her to the top. Sadly, a pasture injury shortly after arriving left her unsound for the demands of the jumping arena. Even though she isn't currently showing we can see the talent that this mare passes on through her offspring. We purchased Belle from Allie Klien in 2006 and bred her to Routinier. That summer we took Belle to the AHS inspection where she won Champion Non-Hanoverian and gained compliments from the judges about her presence and her cadanced trot.We also presented Belle to the BWP judges and she was Reserve Champion. We ended the 2006 year going to the GOV inspection where she was entered into the Main Mare Book. Throughout the 3 inspections Belle earned 8's for head, neck, type, impulsion and elasticity. Belle is a confident mare never worrying about her surroundings or stressing in new situations. She is always calm and cool. Belle is often the lead horse for babies or other mares that are easily spooked.
When looking at Belle's pedigree you can see where her ability and talent come from. Glennridge, her sire was the Champion of the VSN, Stallion Test, and Stallion Selection. Glennridge was also very successful internationally some career highlights are ;1st Grand Prix Kossen, 4th Grand Prix Geneve, 3rd Grand Prix Munschen, 1st International Stallion Jumping in Den Bosch, 7th World Cup Amsterdam, 4th World Cup Oslo, 2nd World Cup Brussels. Glennridge is a product of correct sporthorse breeding and he passes down through generations the careful and select type he was bred to be.
Knowing that behind many great horses there is a strong damline we are thrilled to offer such a valuable damline through Machtet. The dam of Machtelt ,Wolanda, has proven to be very successful not only as a sporthorse ( through M level jumping) but even more so in the breeding shed . In 1985 Wolanda produced the KWPN stallion Donald, in 1986 Wolanda produced the KWPN, pref. stallion Epigoon, in 1991 Wolanda produced the KWPN stallion Julian and in 1997 she produced the KWPN stallion Prinstown. From 1984 -1996 Wolanda produced 8 KWPN mares with many of them carrying the Keur and Ster title. Wolanda herself is a Keur Pref. KWPN ranked mare. Wolanda's sire Makelaar was a very successful Holsteiner/Dutch Warmblood Stallion, known for producing great sporthorses for dressage as well as jumping . He received the prestigious “Keur” predicate based on excellent quality and performance of his offspring. Many breeders believe he is a " broodmare" sire and given the production we have seen through Wolanda we believe it.
Belle carries the sporthorse blood of Wellington, Le Mexico, Sable Skinflint, Amor and Doruto! With this blood we have found a special feature in Belle.. she can produce both dressage and jumping talented foals!
Belle presented us with a near flawless filly in June 2007. Her filly, Concordia, sold inutero and was everything we could have hoped she would be and more. Her movement stopped people in their tracks. In 2009 as a two year old Concordia placed 4th in her division for KWPN-NA awards.Concordia is now being bred to the KWPN stallion UB40. Proving her ability to put out amazing foals Belle produced a filly on Easter morning 2009 by the stallion Olympic Ferro. Keep an eye out for this one- she is super!!! March 2010 Belle presented a lovely filly by Deja Blue B. "Eden" is a stunning filly with a loving personality and gentle nature.
Belle has been bred to impressive imported showjumping stallion Valentino Z for a 2011 foal. This foal is offered for sale inutero. Video of Valentino below.
