A special Capitol I granddaughter is now in our broodmare band. Greta was imported to the US after competing in competitions through 1.45m in Germany.
After being imported to the US Greta competed in the jumper ring and also proved to be a winner in the hunter divisions. Greta is very bold and confident to fences and has a natural push and power that makes her talent limitless, with her scope and willingness we are not surprised at the success this girl has had on circuit.
Greta is a very sweet and easy going mare. Handled by total beginners Greta always keeps her manners and takes all things in without being spooky or hot.We consider ourselves very lucky to have a mare with such an outstanding show record and super mind.
Her sire Gaspari is a son of Grundyman and out of the legendary Holsteiner mare Texas. The Mare Texas has produced 5 licensed stallions including the #1 dressage producing stallion Flemmingh. This damline is key to building top level sporthorses. Gaspari is also the sire of Grand Prix mount, Windy City, who has won in excess of $240,000, including the $150,000 Grand Prix at the National Horse Show .
Her damsire is the true foundation sire of Holsteiners - Capitol I.
Capitol has made his mark in producing showjumpers as well as top stallions - he has currently produced over 40 licensed sons. Capitol is a rare find in Holsteiner breeding as he carries no Cor de or Landgraf blood!

On the tail female line we find the Holsteiner stallion Fabulus. Fabulus is a direct son of the influential Holsteiner sire Fax I. Fax I is also the sire of the superb sporthorse producer Farn.
In 2009 Greta attended the Hanoverian Keuring at Star Vaughn and was awarded CHAMPION non-Hanoverian mare. The inspectors had wonderful things to say about her and commented on how it was " hard to believe this mare was 17" . Greta was given a 9 for her head, 8 for her forelegs and 8 for Overall Impression. In 2010 Greta was accepted into the jumper breeding program for Hanoverians based on her stellar record from Germany.
