Finny continued to event winning her division at the Maryland horse trails and placing 6th at the Fair Hill International Horse Trials. The end of the '07 show season brought Finny a 4th place nationally at Training for All breed awards.

Always willing to work and showing extreme rideability Finny's show career took a change and she was aimed towards the FEI levels of dressage. In 2009 Finny made her Intermediate II debut and proved to be well on her way for the Grand Prix ring. After a successful summer Finny had placed in the top three in all her I 2 classes, including a win at the ESDCTA Memorial Weekend Dressage show.In the 2009 nationally based All breed awards Finny was named CHAMPION in the AA Intermediate II division was ranked 5th in the country at Intermediate II when included with the open division.

Finny is a daughter of the oldenburg stallion Feinbrand. Feinbrand made his debut as the reserve champion of his stallion approval and then in 1990 he finished 2nd in the Oldenburg championships and 2nd best Oldenburg horse at the German Riding Horse championships in Verden. Having over 140 points, he became reserve champion at the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf .In 1992 Feinbrand was Oldenburg champion of the 5 year old dressage horse class in Rastede. Feinbrand's offspring have been quite impressive and displayed his ability to pass down his incredible traits at the elite foal auction in Vechta. In 1991 Feiner Karl was sold for DM 30,000, a price that was equalled by Florestan in 1992, and even surpassed by Feeling Well who brought DM 50,000. At the Verden foal auction in 1993, Frankie Boy was the top priced foal at DM 32,000. To this day, ten of his sons have been approved, including Frontier, and twelve of his mares have been awarded state premium status. His daughter, Fackese won both the 1996 "Show of Champions" in Oldenburg, as well as the Oldenberg Elite Mare Show in Rastede. Two top Vechta auction horses by Feinbrand, Fabulous Starman and Finkenschlag were sold to Switzerland for DM 90,000 each. The approved son Friday was conformation class winner at the Stallion Championships in Euskirchen.

Looking at the damside of Finny we find the Hanoverian stallion Wertherson. Wertherson was foaled in Germany in 1983 and was 100 days tested at Adelheidsdorf as a three year old. He was a son of the very popular stallion Werther out a States Premium mare by Waldhorn. Wertherson was a strikingly beautiful coppery chestnut stallion standing 16.3 hands tall. His sire Werther was awarded the first Hanoverian Stallion of the Year Award in Germany and because his FN rank for siring dressage, materiale, jumping and driving horses was at or near the top for nearly a decade.
Wertherson himself proved to be an extremely successful FEI competitor, and in his last year of competition earning a median score of over 65% at Prix St. Georges and over 66% at Intermediare I.Wertherson has been recognized as a filly sire. He has to his credit numerous Elite Mares and many inspection site champion mares and fillies.
